Since its inception in 1965, SCAP has remained committed to its mission of alleviating the symptoms and eradicating the causes of poverty by helping people help themselves when they are in economic, educational, or social need. SCAP accomplishes this by identifying changing community needs and mobilizing resources; administering programs that address ongoing community needs; and individual and systematic advocacy on behalf of those SCAP serves.
We are proud of our record of providing a wide-range of opportunities and assistance to low-income individuals and families. SCAP looks to the future with commitment and confidence as we continue to engage the community and work to meet the challenges to support low-income people in reaching their goals.
