Not a day goes by where we are not asked: “What is a pop-up shop?†Or, “Your store is so busy, why don't you remain open throughout the year?†In 2004, long time retailer Deb Nichol was inspired to create a unique shopping environment—one that did not reflect the day-to-day business model that other retailers operate by. An avid shopper herself, Deb found shopping to be uninspiring; it was all too easy to walk in and out of shops without having any experience, feeling or attraction. Her solution? The Latest Scoop. A unique pop-up lifestyle retailer based in Vancouver, Scoop opens one to two locations for eight weeks at a time, during the summer & holiday shopping seasons only. We carry an ever-changing mix of product that ranges from home décor & furniture, to fashion & accessories. Our buyers travel the world to curate a unique mix of product at prices that are well, real. Since we're only open for a limited time, we can buy & edit our collections much closer to the season: we know what trends are hot, which colours are favoured & what the consumer is looking for. Our inventory is chosen to reflect a lifestyle: if you love our fashion, you'll love our home décor & gifts too.
