Char-Broil is the flagship company in the W.C. Bradley Home Leisure Group, which also owns New Braunfels Smokers, Lamplight Farms, Zebco and Bradley Direct. In the 1800s, the forefathers of this organization operated steamboats on the Chattahoochee River, grew cotton to fuel their textile mills, and manufactured horse-drawn farm implements plus coal- and wood-burning stoves.
