ECO began operations as an assembly and stamping company for a 1st tier automotive supplier '61 purchased and installed five zinc die casting machines to primarily cast automotive switch housings. '62 expanded zinc die casting sales to include the window and door market. '63 began casting and assembling IBM cam operated breaker points '65 purchased and began producing a line of medium pressure Hose Clamps for the railroad industry. '66 became a Certified Vendor to IBM '69 purchased a second zinc die casting company in Los Angles California. 1971 installed the first automatic spraying/production Powder Coating system in Iowa. '78 installed its first zinc die casting launder line for twelve casting machines '79 began producing all IBM Dot Matrix Print Heads for the commercial market. 1980 expanded its casting business to include Custom Specialized Castings. '83 became a fully independent non-automotive partnership. Parent company sold its automotive division. 1990 outgrew its single line powder coating system and installed a dual custom line rapid color change system. '98 became certified to ISO 9002-1994 2000 built a seventh expansion to its manufacturing plant, bringing its facility to a total of 151,000 sq. ft. '02 certified to the ISO 9001-2000 standards. '04 installed its second launder line, this one for #5 zinc. '09 certified to the new ISO 9001-2008 standards. 2015 DECO has 88 zinc die casting machines ranging from 14 ton to 500 ton with approximately 239 employees.
