TCS owns and produces the 16-team Preseason Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT), which has been in existence since 1994. The Postseason WNIT was taken over by TCS in 1998 and expanded from 16 teams to the current 48-team event. Record paying crowds for host schools have been set for women's basketball in championship games ranging from 8,800 to 18,300 fans. TCS has recently created two holiday events hosted south of Cancun on the Mexican Riviera called the Caribbean Classics. This event has drawn top programs since its inception in 2005. Current powers Duke, North Carolina, Louisville, Baylor, California, and Arizona State, have competed and expressed their enjoyment of the event. In 2007, the Caribbean Classics are being expanded to 24 teams. The Preseason WNIT, the Postseason WNIT, and The Caribbean Classics have created solid and profitable earnings for Triple Crown Sports from ticket sales, fan packages and sponsor revenues.
