Macalester College Student Government (MCSG) represents student interests in all aspects of Macalester Life. MCSG is made of 20 elected representatives (5 from each class)—called the Legislative Body or LB--and 6 Executive Board positions. The LB and execs meet once a week to discuss, vote on, and support student activities and affairs. In addition each exec heads up a commission which meets once a week and works on projects specific to that commission. All meetings are open to any member of the community. Additionally anyone is allowed to address the LB during our “Open Forum” time at the beginning of each meeting. Getting a place on the formal agenda is simple! Just email an executive board member before the meeting. MCSG members will also be happy to work with you on bringing a resolution for voting as well.
