KIVI 6 On Your Side advocates for the community by delivery of news and information in a timely fashion across all platforms. 6 On Your Side is driven by a digital first mentality that is the foundation of our newsroom. The newsroom produces 42 hours of newscasts every week for ABC and Fox collectively. We are constantly pushing news and information for viewers to consume from live streaming during breaking news, severe weather and push alerts through the KIVI app. KIVI is the first broadcast television station in the Treasure Valley market to switch to a 100 percent virtual set, the set was launched in the summer of 2017. The city's population is about 265,000. The metropolitan area, which includes 5 counties, has a population of approximately 680,000 and is the 83rd largest in the U.S. Men's Journal named Boise om the Top 10 places to live in 2016.
