The Phoenix Residence, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to developing person-centered, quality living experiences for individuals with disabilities; our residential and non-residential services help those we serve live a life of choice.
Over 40 years ago, The Phoenix Residence was only a dream. The founder, Margaret Ludden, was seeking a better life for her grown son with disabilities. Margaret connected with other parents of disabled children who shared her vision. This group of parents wanted to provide better living situations—they envisioned a brighter future for their children. The Phoenix Residence originated and was incorporated August 2, 1974
Today, The Phoenix Residence owns and operate 20 community homes in the Twin Cities As an organization, we strive to provide services and supports in a personalized manner, taking into consideration everyone’s unique needs. The term “person-centered†is our focus and is the core of the services we provide.
