About
Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO), a faith based, not-for-profit senior care and service provider, was founded in 1955 by area Mennonite Churches with a vision of serving God while serving others by providing comfortable housing and compassionate care in a Christian home where elders could live joyous, rich and full lives. As MHCO has grown to include additional communities and innovative services, this long-standing tradition is the foundation of this ministry. Mennonite Memorial Home (MMH) opened its doors at 410 W. Elm Street in 1955. In 2005, the name Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) was adopted to represent the many programs offered by our growing ministry. In addition to MMH, MHCO includes Mennonite Home Health and Senior Services (1995), Maple Crest Senior Living Village (1998), and Willow Ridge (2012) in Bluffton. In 2012, Hilty Home of Pandora joined with MHCO. As a ministry formed by the Missionary Church in 1979, Hilty Home’s values of “living, serving and growing in a Christian environment” naturally complemented the mission and vision of MHCO. Recognizing the value of an intergenerational community, Hilty Home established a childcare program in 1988. Today, Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio remains committed to faithfully serving our elders and our children with respect, compassion and joy.
