The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health is the largest brain research institute in the southern hemisphere, researching basic brain function to major brain diseases. The Florey combines translational research from bench to bedside with divisions ranging from basic sciences through to public health. We are world leaders in brain imaging (MRI and PET) and our other strengths include advanced microscopy, behavioural measurement, protein chemistry, electrophysiology and neural network modelling.
