Gross, McGinley, LaBarre & Eaton is one of the largest and most comprehensive law firms in the Lehigh Valley area. The Allentown, Pa. firm was founded in 1976 by local lawyers Mal Gross, Paul McGinley, and Carol McGinley, who now serves as a Lehigh County judge. The firm's original office was located in a restored Victorian building at 137 N. 5th Street. A decade after its founding, the firm moved to its present location in Crown Tower, at 33 S. 7th Street, just south of the Lehigh County government building. GMLE occupies two floors in the completely restored, 25,000 square foot former clothing mill. A visit to the firm's lobby reflects the city of Allentown over the past century, largely through the personal collections of the firm's named partners, who are members of families with deep roots in the area. Gross is the son of the late Allentown mayor John T. Gross, and grandson of Malcolm W. Gross, a four-term Allentown mayor and prominent member of the Lehigh County Bar Association. McGinley is the son of the late Paul McGinley, a district attorney and prominent trial attorney. Don LaBarre and Jackson Eaton, who joined the firm in 1981 and 1986 respectively, are also descendents of local prominent men in the public sector: LaBarre is the son of former county solicitor Donald LaBarre, and Eaton is the grandson of Sheriff Ollie Peter. On January 1, 2006, GMLE opened an office in the City of Easton in order to serve our many clients who have legal matters in Northampton County. The office, located at 717 Washington St., less than one block from the Courthouse, was purchased in conjunction with Attorney Raymond DeRaymond joining the firm. Over the years since its founding, GMLE has steadily grown in size. The firm currently has 16 partners, 5 associates and 2 counsel, all of whom give back to the community they serve.Gross McGinley Address
