The primary focus of the Race Track Chaplaincy of America is to serve those who are involved in the horse racing industry. The ministry is based on the belief that it is God’s desire that every person, including those in the horse racing industry, should have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, resulting in a life that is full and abundant in its nature and eternal in its scope.
RTCA is an evangelical, interdenominational Christian ministry whose network of Chaplains serve racetracks across the United States, from New York to California, and from Michigan to Florida.
While our overall mission is to serve the spiritual, emotional, physical, social, and educational needs of those persons involved in all aspects of the horse racing industry, RTCA has a special interest in the men and women who toil in the backside communities of our nation’s racetracks.
The backside of a horse racetrack can be a hard and dangerous place. For over 40 years, RTCA has provided ministry in: pastoral counseling, worship services, bible studies, food and clothing, family recreation, healthcare, legal and financial referrals, educational workshops and transportation.
