American Airlines Center is the new home of the NHL Dallas Stars and the NBA Dallas Mavericks. Opening summer 2001, American Airlines Center will be the premier sports and entertainment venue in the country. American Airlines Center includes the newest, biggest and best amenities available for sports and entertainment. Developed by Hillwood and designed by the architectural firm David M. Schwarz Architectural Services, who also designed the Ballpark in Arlington, American Airlines Center is a grand complex with sweeping vistas, striking size and inviting passages. Features include five concourses, 142 luxury suites and room for 20,000 fans. The sports architect and architect of record on the project is Dallas based HKS Architectural Services. American Airlines Center anchors the mile-long, 70-acre Victory development that will house up to 8 million square feet of entertainment, shopping, businesses and homes. About Center Operating Company: The Center Operating Company was formed by the owners of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars to build and operate American Airlines Center.
