Founded in 1951, the Association of IT Professionals (AITP) remains one of the largest professional technology associations in the country. In 2016, AITP became a subsidiary of CompTIA to leverage their strengths and bring more benefits to our members.
CompTIA AITP Chicago Chapter takes its legacy seriously. IT professional members work diligently to make sure meetings are content-based and that IT pros walk away with new, applicable ideas. The Chicago Chapter covers a wide range of technologies by developing close relationships with other business and technology organizations, such as the Society of Information Management (SIM), Project Management Institute (PMI), Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), ISACA, InfraGard and the Executives Club of Chicago.
Mission
AITP Chicago provides superior leadership and education in Information Technology through synergistic Information Technology partnerships to provide benefits to our members, and working with the industry to assist in promotion and direction of Information Technology.
The chapter is committed to bringing more opportunities for diversity within the industry with keen focus on membership, board roles and active involvement with local communities through sponsorships and leadership.
Our Focus
Letting IT pros specialize and expand their knowledge is what this chapter does best. The Chicago CompTIA AITP Chapter is known for its shared interest groups, where technology pros can focus on what is important for our industry.
Also featured are award competitions that recognize Chicago-area IT leaders who have used technology to extraordinarily benefit their organizations: CIO of the Year, CISO of the Year and the Most Effective IT Team of the Year.
Quarterly Chicago Chapter dinner meetings feature presentations by C-level executives and industry experts, who offer their own knowledge and insights related to technology hot topics.
