When developing the concept for Culver’s® in 1984, the Culver family’s intentions were simply to support themselves while treating their customers right. Today, they own five Culver’s and oversee more than 240 franchised restaurants through Culver Franchising System, Inc. The restaurant industry had always been a way of life for George and Ruth Culver. They raised their three children—Craig, Curt and Georgia, and owned and operated several supper clubs. Craig soon became fascinated with the world of quick cuisine.
