Founded in 1894, Hartford's Camp Courant is the nation's oldest and largest FREE summer program currently in the United States. Hartford residents between the ages of 5 and 12 participate in a variety of recreational, educational and cultural programs each year at our campus in Farmington. Transportation, two nutritious meals, health care, and a wide range of youth development opportunities are included for every camper. All of the programs are geared towards developing self-esteem, building positive relationships and having fun. On average, more than 600 children attend camp during the season with close to 1,000 served in 2015.
