About
Measurand designs and manufactures innovative technology—the ShapeArray—with a focus on monitoring and safety. \n\nShapeArray is an integrated measuring tool that measures deformation in soil and structures in real-time. The instrument can be used vertically, horizontally, or in an arc, to measure lateral deformation, settlement, or convergence. ShapeArray’s design—rigid stainless steel sensorized segments connected by flexible joints—is durable and allows for simple installation from its shipping reel. Every segment of ShapeArray contains three MEMS tilt sensors, a microprocessor and digital temperature sensor.\n\nShapeArray has changed the way geotechnical instrumentation is expected to perform. Prior to ShapeArray, specialized technicians needed to take lengthy readings in the field before taking the data in for analysis. With ShapeArray, data can be collected and transmitted in real-time. By producing accurate data in real-time, the instrument has closed the gap between engineering theory and observable phenomena in the field. The data provides project engineers and designers with better information to make smarter decisions that increase public safety and save money. \n\nThe superior utility of the product over conventional instrumentation has seen ShapeArrray’s uptake across several sectors: urban construction, mining and tailings ponds, geohazards, dams and levees, and tunnelling. \n\nAs a company that works quickly to be the world-standard in geotechnical instrumentation, Measurand looks for employees that can grow and develop along with us. Measurand offers an environment to people who are confident, adaptable, and focused on building lasting relationships with our customers and each other. We offer a place where we can achieve together.
