Established in 2008, the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) is one of 60 medical research institutions nationwide funded by the NIH’s National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS). The consortium, funded through Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA), shares a common vision to reduce the time it takes for laboratory discoveries to become treatments for patients, and to engage communities in clinical research efforts.
By broadly supporting research across the full translational spectrum, the CCTS accelerates the translation of scientific discoveries into innovative therapies, diagnostics, disease prevention and improved health.
