The Organization for Transformative Works (OTW) is a nonprofit organization established by fans to serve the interests of fans by providing access to and preserving the history of fanworks and fan culture in its myriad forms. We believe that fanworks are transformative and that transformative works are legitimate. You can contact the OTW through communications [at] transformativeworks.org for media requests, donation information, or for information about volunteering. The OTW engages in legal advocacy to represent fans' interests in legal and government discussions about copyright's effects. We also produce ongoing projects for public use.
