From the beginning, Riverfront Federal Credit Union (RFCU) has been helping people get their finances on the right track. More than fitting, considering we were originally founded to serve employees of the Reading Railroad back in 1948.
Over the years, we adopted more of an “all aboard†approach, allowing many different groups in the Berks community to join our field of membership. To reflect this diverse growth, we changed our name to Riverfront Federal Credit Union in 1987.
In 2008, Riverfront was granted a charter amendment to allow anyone who currently lives, works, worships or attends school in Berks County, Pennsylvania or is a legal entity doing business in Berks County to join. Today we have two branch locations in Berks County conveniently located to serve our members at 430 S. 4th Street and Wyomissing, 2001 Museum Road, to serve our growing membership.
