The nonprofit Lake Erie Nature & Science Center educates and inspires each of us to understand, appreciate and take responsibility for our natural world. For over 70 years, Lake Erie Nature & Science Center has connected people of all ages with the wonders of the natural world by providing free admission seven days a week to its indoor and outdoor exhibits, offering nature-based educational programming for all ages, operating one of two public access planetariums in Cuyahoga County and providing wildlife rehabilitation services at no charge to the public.
Lake Erie Nature & Science Center serves more than 165,000 people each year with an operating budget of $1.6 million. The Center offers a distinct blend of early childhood programs, seasonal family events, school field trips, scout programs, summer camps and wildlife rehabilitation services. Lake Erie Nature & Science Center is funded by donations, program fees and grants including Cuyahoga Arts & Culture through the residents of Cuyahoga County.
