About
NCEFT IS HIRING! Please visit our jobs page at: https://www.nceft.org/careers/ Since 1971, NCEFT has utilized the power of the human-horse relationship to bring healing to thousands of children, adults, military Veterans, and First Responders with cognitive and physical disabilities. Equine-assisted therapy is at the heart of NCEFT’s programs. We deliver long-term, deep-impact physical, occupational, and speech therapy conducted on horseback (hippotherapy) by licensed therapists, along with a range of other equine-assisted activities. Our therapy strategy cannot be replicated in any clinical setting and is frequently a breakthrough component in a patient’s overall plan of treatment. Individuals who benefit from this kind of equine-assisted therapy include those with cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, Down syndrome, autism, developmental delay, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and learning or language disabilities. In addition to equine-assisted therapy, NCEFT offers adaptive riding, free Veterans and First Responders programs, free school programs for special-education class schoolchildren, Happy Trails Camp, and equine-assisted mental and behavioral health programs that profoundly improve the health and well-being of our patients and clients. NCEFT is the only Northern California Facility member of the American Hippotherapy Association, Inc. (AHA, Inc.) a registered 501(c)(3) organization (ID 94-2378104), a Platnium Guidestar.org participant, a Top-Rated GreatNonProfits.org member with a five-star rating, and a certified EQUUS Foundation Guardian. MISSION STATEMENT: "NCEFT is dedicated to helping children, adults, and military Veterans with special needs reach beyond their boundaries through equine-assisted therapies, education, and research."
