About
Working for the big, mainland corporations in the solar industry for the last 6 years has been a frustrating experience. We’ve seen the exhausting process homeowners have had to endure in order to get solar, only to wait over a year to finally be installed! Even more disappointing was the lack of concern and indifferent customer service that these companies had for their customers. This was unacceptable. People in Hawai'i deserve accessible solar from a company that cares about them. We recognized this and that is why, with the help of other experts in the field, we started Mālama Solar. Here’s what we changed and what we offer beyond the other guy: First, we created a “no stress” process. We handle all the permits, approvals, and paperwork and offer several financing options so that almost anyone can qualify for solar. Second, we cut out the middleman. What does that mean to you? Simply put, it means we can offer lower, better pricing for more premium products. Third, as a local, Oahu based company, we are readily available when you need us. We keep you informed throughout the entire process because we want you to know, and actually feel, that you are a valued customer. Why do we do it? Because we are passionate about renewable energy, and because installing solar doesn’t only benefit you and your ‘ohana, it helps us mālama (care for) this beautiful place we call home! Although we’re a young company, we have over 20 years of combined experience working in the solar industry. We know what it takes to make a good solar company: a simple process, great products, competitive pricing, and meaningful customer service.
