In a split second, unexpected things can happen that will change your life forever. It is in these moments that the North West Air Ambulance Charity will be at the right place, at the right time, making a life changing difference. When every second counts, our service is absolutely vital. Access might be difficult or time might be critical, but our pilots are able fly to the scene of serious emergencies in minutes. Flying 365 days a year, we provide a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) to the 8 million people of the North West and the many visitors our area attracts. Through the support of the public, we now have doctors on board some of our aircraft, alongside our skilled paramedics and pilots. This means that advanced medical treatment can be delivered at the scene, saving crucial seconds and giving the gift of time to our patients. Anyone, of any age, anywhere may one day need our care.
