About
The VCS department is one of three academic departments in the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. Our goal is to provide a first-rate education to members of the veterinary health care team and biomedical community, to be leaders in multidisciplinary and translational research to benefit both animal and human health, and to provide outstanding clinical service for the citizens of Indiana and surrounding region. The department offers graduate programs leading to the Master of Science (MS; thesis or non-thesis) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees. We also provide excellent opportunities for Post-DVM students to further their training through specialty residency programs in anesthesiology, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care medicine, large animal internal medicine, large animal surgery, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, radiation oncology, small animal internal medicine, and small animal surgery.
