Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM) is an independent non-profit organization which provides high-quality civil legal assistance and equal access to justice for low-income people in eastern Missouri. With offices in St. Louis, Clayton, Union and Hannibal, LSEM serves 21 counties in eastern Missouri with 14 legal programs including: Advocates for Family Health, Children's Legal Alliance, Community Economic Development Program, Consumer Law Program, Elder Law Program, Family Court Program, Housing Law Program, Immigration Law Program, Lasting Solutions Family Law Program, Legal Advocates for Adults with Mental Illness Program, Marketplace Assistance Program, Medical-Legal Partnership, Public Benefits Program and the Youth & Family Advocacy program. In 2015, LSEM provided services to more than 14,400 Missourians through direct legal advocacy. In addition, more than 21,000 people were assisted through other services, including outreach, community education and presentations, and referrals to other service providers.
