Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center, a visionary leader in providing community based services to the mentally ill since opening its first 12-bed facility in 1953, was founded with the belief that those with little or no resources should have access to the same high quality services available as those with the ability to pay. Our Mission is to create and maintain mental health facilities and programs, including an acute care psychiatric hospital, to serve the needs of mentally ill and emotionally disturbed and maladjusted persons requiring inpatient, outpatient, and rehabilitation services, treatment and care regardless of race, creed, national origin or gender, including persons referred to or placed in such facilities or programs by courts or other public agencies.
