Who We Are The Goldie Hawn Foundation is a nonprofit organization created in 2003 in response to growing concern about the state of children's mental health. With leading researchers, neuroscientists and educators, the foundation created MindUPâ„¢, a program and curriculum to train teachers and schools how to develop social emotional learning and support children's mental fitness. Since its inception, MindUPâ„¢ has trained over 150,000 teachers and served millions of children across 12 countries. The global headquarters for MindUPâ„¢ is located in Los Angeles. Additional MindUPâ„¢ offices are located in London, United Kingdom and Vancouver, Canada. What We Do The mission of MindUPâ„¢ is to equip all children with the social emotional skills they need to regulate their emotions, grow empathy and optimism, and live healthier, happier lives. MindUPâ„¢ is a well researched CASEL- SELect program. At its core is a multi year curriculum published by Scholastic that is heavily based in neuroscience, helping teachers and communities understand how to best support children in developing their social emotional learning, pro-social behaviors and mindful practices. MindUPâ„¢ has been demonstrated to improve academic performance, decrease aggressive behaviors, and increase mental focus and resilience.
