About
Pioneers in local government partnering, Adur District & Worthing Borough Councils have been working together since 2007 to deliver high quality front line services to residents, businesses, investors and visitors. Our Councils maintain their Political individuality, while benefiting from a single officer structure that improves efficiency, reduces costs and allows for the organisation to become increasingly agile in its approach to change. The Councils are becoming increasingly entrepreneurial, guided by over-arching visions contained in ‘Catching The Wave' and ‘Surf's Up' (http://www.adur-worthing.gov.uk/catching-the-wave-and-surfs-up/) - both of which detail ambitious agendas for social and economic growth. Taking this position, our Councils are clearly leaving behind the notion of being solely municipal service providers for one where our purpose is to create and sustain healthy, vibrant, financial and social economies in our communities.
