About
When people in the mid-Atlantic region see a Kline's Services truck, many automatically think it's on the way to clean a septic tank. Although Marshall Kline started the business in 1955 with only one septic tank truck, over the years, the company has grown into so much more. "While that was the company's focus when my grandfather started the business, cleaning septic tanks only represents 10 percent of what we do today," said Dave Kline, the company's president and a third-generation leader of this family-owned business. Today, Kline's Services operates on the cutting edge of wastewater management. In fact, by 2013, 100 percent of waste collected by the company will be diverted from landfills and recycled into energy for other purposes. The company will achieve this through its three-phase Renewable Energy System Project. "In Phase I, the Food2Fuel Initiative, we began converting brown grease from restaurants into an alternative heating fuel," Kline said. "In Phase II, we employed a methane digester to create a methane-rich biogas that works with a generator to produce enough energy to power about 420 homes every day for a year." With clients in the residential, commercial, industrial and municipal sectors, Kline's Services is tapping into new horizons with state-of-the-art machinery, trained and certified professional technicians, and long-standing customer relationships. Underneath it all is one simple philosophy that stays constant: "Doing the Job Right!"
