Academics West is an accredited educational program committed to improving the academic, social and emotional functioning of all of its students.
Our method, Clinically Informed Academics® (CIA), incorporates evidence-based approaches that consider the whole student to formulate effective individualized learning strategies. Our model teaches students how to compensate for their learning weaknesses and/or social-emotional distress.
Directed by Dr. Jeffrey Kassinove and Dr. Evan Flamenbaum, a former Dean of Students at a Manhattan private school, Academics West is staffed by experienced educators with superior training. They provide such services as a therapeutic education program, academic coaching, ADHD coaching, content tutoring, standardized test preparation, and school placement. The educational methods utilized by Academics West are matched to each student's learning profile in order to strengthen and develop effective strategies catered to each student.
