The Health Department is comprised of Parent/Child Health, Chronic Disease, Communicable Disease, Environmental Health, Woman Infants and Children (WIC), Contracted Health and Oral Health sections.
 The Parent/Child Health section provides immunization clinics, prenatal care coordination, school health services, injury prevention initiatives, case management for children with special health care needs, and childhood lead poisoning prevention.
 The Chronic Disease section provides a variety of health promotion and disease prevention programs, such as Clean Indoor Air, Tobacco Education and Prevention, Wisconsin Well Women Program, Cardiovascular Health Initiatives, Worksite Wellness Programs, and outreach to reduce health disparities for immigrants and minorities.
 The Communicable Disease section provides disease investigation and follow-up, confidential HIV and HepC screening and education, prevention initiatives and emergency preparedness initiatives and programs.
 Woman, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a federally funded program, which provides eligible clients with supplemental food nutrition and health education and referral services. Persons served include pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age five.
 Environmental Health provides inspections of restaurants, recreational facilities such as pools and campgrounds, lodging facilities, body art establishments, mobile home parks, and retail food stores. Environmental Health also enforces the Wood County ordinances regarding public health hazards and investigates indoor and outdoor air quality issues, beach water quality and drinking water safety along with Radon education/prevention and Clean Sweep.
 The Wood County Health Department partners with the Department of Health Services, United Way of Inner Wisconsin, Marshfield Area United Way, and Ministry Foundation to provide oral health care to children.Wood County Health Department Address
