Something was missing from Capital Region banking. So we decided to do something about it. When we founded Capital Bank in 1995, we did so to fill a void. There were few locally owned and controlled commercial banks headquartered in the Capital Region. Crucial decisions were being made far from our area, by people who knew little about us.
