BEACON Services (Behavioral Education, Assessment and Consultation Inc. is a private group practice of Behavior Analysts, Special Educators, and Early Childhood professionals, Analysts, Special Educators, and Early Childhood professionals, experienced in providing services to early childhood and school age children in need of behavioral education. BEACON's mission is to work in alliance with families, early intervention programs and school systems to build essential life skills among children with Pervasive Developmental Delay (PDD), Autism, developmental disorders and challenging behavior. In order to achieve these goals BEACON Services staff and a child's family collaborate to provide up to 40 hours of educational and clinical services on a weekly basis. BEACON has been established to provide four (4) important services:Intensive Behavioral Education Services (ABA model)Home-basedSchool-basedHybrid model: Combination of Home, school and other setting (day care, etc.)Behavioral Consultation/Behavioral AssessmentShort-term evaluations of a child's status and learning profile with recommendations for behavioral and or educational supports.Ongoing consultation supports to programs (Families, Early Intervention programs and Public School systems). These supports can be child specific or system wide. Training Support Services: BEACON can provide a variety of training supports to programs and individuals these include but are not limited to:30 hour ABA staff training programOngoing professional development series for educatorsPhysical intervention training (per DOE regulations)Discrete trial teaching and instructional procedures in ABAInclusion Support Staff: Where requested BEACON can place skilled behavioral educators into public school settings to support the inclusion of children with educational and behavioral challenges.
