The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce represents over 1,100 businesses throughout mid-Michigan. The Chamber acts as a strong advocate for the region's business community, and offers a number of programs to new and prospective businesses. These programs help advance economic development, educational, and public policy initiatives and interests for Chamber members. The following are just a few of the many programs and services that can help companies reduce costs and increase profitability: -The Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) provides training and assistance to companies that want to sell to the government. -Money-saving programs that help reduce shipping, office, and telecommunications costs for businesses of all sizes. -A partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield that provides business members with lower-cost insurance coverage for employees. The Chamber also has established several councils and advisory groups to help improve the community and support the region's business owners.
