In 2010 the North American activities of Friedrichs & Rath, Inc. and Alfmeier Corporation merged into ALFMEIER FRIEDRICHS & RATH LLC. The combined company has more than 600 employees and about 60 injection molding machines at their locations in Greenville (Headquarters) and Anderson (main injection molding location) both in South Carolina, as well as a liaison office in Troy, Michigan, and a plant in Monterrey, Mexico (about 350 employees) for product and component assembly. The Mexican plant - as the third location in the NAFTA-region - started serial production in injection molding in 2011. The North American merger has strengthened the market position of both partners significantly. AF&R follows a long term growth strategy for the North American market based on the competences in the areas of Development, Injection Molding and Assembly.
