Dura-Bond Industries was founded in 1960 by Mr. J.M. Norris to provide corrosion protection services to fabricated steel products. Over time, Dura-Bond expanded and evolved into four separate business units: line pipe manufacturing, steel fabrication, pipe coating and a short line railroad. Today Dura-Bond Industries manages these four business units from its headquarters in Export, PA. Dura-Bond Pipe, located in Steelton, Pennsylvania, manufactures line pipe in diameters of 24" to 42" and in lengths up to 80'. This modern facility employs an advanced quality assurance program that includes fluoroscopy, radiography, ultrasonic and visual inspections. The Steelton plant can also apply advanced corrosion preventive coatings. Dura-Bond Steel, located in Export, PA, fabricates structural steel primarily for the marine and heavy highway markets. In addition to fabrication, Dura-Bond also uses its expertise in corrosion protection to provide the customer with a complete product delivered to his site. Dura-Bond Coating, operates two pipe coating plants: McKeesport and Steelton, PA. Both mills are located adjacent to pipe producing mills. McKeesport applies Fusion Bond Epoxy and Extrusion coating while Steelton applies Fusion Bond Epoxy. Both plants also internally line the I.D. surfaces, plus they apply Powercrete and dual powder systems. Turtle Creek Industrial Railroad acquired in 1982 from Conrail, operates between Trafford and Export, PA. The interchange is with the Norfolk Southern at Trafford, PA. The total distance is 11 miles and TCKR serves local industry in addition to Dura-Bond Steel Corporation.Dura Bond Industries Address
