Compassion First is a faith-based humanitarian organization providing long-term, hope-filled solutions for survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation. Compassion First takes a multi-disciplinary approach to anti-trafficking in Indonesia including prevention, rescue, and aftercare. Compassion First aftercare programs include trauma counseling, medical care, education and life skills rehabilitation, and a loving support staff at the shelter. Peer-to-peer law enforcement training creates a sustainable model for rescuing children, arresting traffickers, and disrupting trafficking patterns. Compassion First does prevention and community building by empowering the vulnerable and breaking cycles of trafficking and exploitation in communities. We support families in poverty through education and economic empowerment opportunities that are self-identified and initiated by participants. We believe in the inherent value of each person, and empower those we come alongside to author their own story and provide solution.
