We are a small, well-established investment firm that's growing fast. We need the right people to grow with us, both personally and professionally. Merriman Capital Management was founded in Seattle in 1983. Today we serve more than 2,000 households throughout the United States, with approximately $1 billion under management and a staff of more than 40 people. Our legacy as a firm is investment management. In February 2006 we merged with a Seattle accounting firm, giving us new ways to meet the needs of our investment clients and our accounting clients. This merger has opened up new career opportunities and career paths for people who want to look beyond traditional barriers as we find better ways to serve clients. Our mission is simple: We educate investors in multiple formats, including internet, radio, print, audio, video and live workshops. We provide personalized advice to serious investors without charge or obligation. We offer investment management services and accounting services to businesses and individuals. We do all this on a fee-only basis to avoid the conflicts of interest that are inevitable when commissions are involved. Three commitments permeate our company: 1. We are committed to helping all investors, whether or not they are clients. We provide timeless, in-depth educational materials in a variety of ways. We offer individual financial reviews and recommendations for investors whether or not they choose to become our clients. This is rare in the financial services industry. 2. Our business is centered around doing the right thing for our clients as we help them identify and achieve their financial goals. Our investment strategies are based on leading financial tools and research, including the work of our in-house research staff. We deliver impeccable service to clients without regard to the size of their accounts. We measure our success by our client turnover, which is very low. 3.
