The Graduate School of Public Health is among the country’s best public health programs. A top-ranked, world renowned institution, we are recognized for our contributions to public health practices and medical care in the Pittsburgh region and around the world. Established in 1948 with a gift of $13.6 million from the Andrew W. Mellon Education and Charitable Trust, Pitt Public Health was the 13th accredited school of public health in the country. The school is fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health and is a member of the Association of Schools and Public Health.
