About
Starting in 1895 as a small gray iron casting plant called Erie Foundry Company, even the most optimistic could not have imagined how far we would come. Our journey from that day has taken us to the early application and manufacture of over 8,000 forging hammers to today´s state of the art hydraulic and mechanical presses and integrated systems for forging and forming. Over the years, careful development of process technology has earned ERIE PRESS SYSTEMS worldwide recognition and domestic leadership in hot, warm and cold forging. Today, there is a revolution in forming materials-alloys, powder, metals, plastics, and more. ERIE engineers and technicians have worked diligently on the development of new processes in anticipation of future industry needs. It is our intent to stay in the forefront of developing technologies. In support of these goals, ERIE has transitioned to a teamed management approach, which has resulted in outstanding service and responsiveness to customers. We´ve implemented Continuous Improvement, achieved ISO-9002 certification, and will soon be QS-9000 T/E certified. Progress over the last 105 plus years is testimony to the hard work and determination of the ERIE Team. Every innovation and accomplishment represents generations of dedicated individuals; those who brought us here, and those who will carry our mission forward through the 21st century.
