SCKEDD is a non-profit, membership organization that promotes economic and community development. We provide small business loans; weatherization services for low-income homeowners; and community grants for community improvement, rural development and public works within our 40-county region in South Central Kansas! SCKEDD specializes in improving communities through the growth of small business, improvement of housing quality and community infrastructure by providing Small business loans; weatherization services for low-income homeowners; and community grants for community improvement, rural development and public works. For over 45 years, SCKEDD has enhanced and improved the economic vitality, community infrastructure and housing quality within our region. To reach these goals, SCKEDD offers a variety of services in order to have a positive impact the lives of people in the community. We assist business owners find solutions and strategies to help their small businesses grow and create new jobs in the community. We understand that the need for capital rises when you start or expand your small business and we will be there to help you grow by providing access to various Small Business or Rural Business Development Loans. SCKEDD provides assistance through SBA loans as well as direct loans that provide the financing gap not filled by traditional bank and credit union lenders. SCKEDD also offers grants for homeowners and communities that improve the quality of life of people in the community. Grants for homeowners provide services for home weatherization, repair or rehabilitation. Community grants are available for Community Improvement, such as housing rehabilitation, community facilities, water and sewer; Rural Development, such as water and waste and development of public community facilities; and Public Works to provide infrastructure needed by a benefiting company resulting in expansion/creation of jobs.South Central Kansas Economic Development District Address
