Whitney Blake Company designs, manufactures and distributes electrical retractile cords and cable assemblies which are primarily used by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) as a component in the manufacture of a variety of commercial and military communications, electronic data processing, medical electronic, durable goods and other equipment. As the first commercial supplier of retractile cords (Koiled KordsÔ), the Company has developed a strong marketing position. Although the technology and quality associated with its products have become more standard (non-patented) over the years, management believes that its level of engineering design and support is unique in the industry. - Whitney Blake is one of the few manufacturers with expertise in rubber and neoprene coiled cord manufacturing. Although more expensive, rubber and neoprene have good flexibility in a wide range of temperatures and harsh environments, requires a lower force to extend and has good "memory."
