The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wisconsin, serves the spiritual needs of those who suffer poverty in body and soul. It is a place of ceaseless prayer for the corporal and spiritual welfare of God's children, especially those in most need. The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe pays homage to the Blessed Virgin Mary, under the title of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of America and honors Our Blessed Mother as the Patroness of the Unborn.
The Shrine provides a sacramental place of rest and renewal for the weary. Covering over 100 acres of Mississippi River bluff-land, the Shrine offers a welcome center, which houses our gift shop, restaurant and orientation room. A 3/4 mile paved path winds though the woods, past many outdoor devotional areas, to arrive at the heart of our Shrine, the magnificent Shrine church.
