About
Enjoy your visit to our Website! We hope that this site will inform those learning about our schools for the first time and, as well, facilitate and expand communications with families and friends. Please feel free to register on the website. The website will continue to grow as we migrate in information. A former mill town in what is now known as Connecticut's Quiet Corner, Killingly has the largest school district in northeastern Connecticut. Our community is located about 15 miles south of Massachusetts and on the Rhode Island border. Major access is through Interstate 395, which runs north/south through the western side of Town. Killingly schools enroll approximately 2,800 students, PreK – 12: Goodyear Early Childhood Center in Rogers houses both pre-school classes and the family resource center. Two elementary schools, Killingly Central School in Dayville and Killingly Memorial School in Danielson, serve grades K-4. Killingly Intermediate School in Dayville serves grades 5-8. Killingly High School, the Regional Agricultural Educational Program and the Alternate Learning Center, grades 9-12 are located in Dayville. The town built a new high school which is located at the intersection of Soap Street and Route 12 in Dayville, in 2010. Killingly High School students also have the opportunity to participate in two magnet schools; the Quinebaug Valley Middle College High School and the Arts at the Capital Theater Magnet School. Our schools share a long history of service to the community. Through consistent family and town support Killingly schools and their students have developed respected records of success in the fields of music, media, agriculture, technology, multicultural education, and sports. We are proud, as well, of our strong partnership with Quinebaug Valley Community College and the opportunities that this collaboration has provided for our students. Area businesses have been very active with Killingly High School's School-to-Career Program.
