OVERVIEW The Ground Up was established in 2010. As of August 2018 TGU has become the leader of manufactured and engineered high quality compost, soils, and mulches in Houston, TX. In addition to being one of the largest green waste recycling operations in Houston, we also manage wholesale nurseries, stone & paver yards and offer our wholesale accounts a wide variety of landscape supplies in bulk, palletized and packaged. TGU bags soils and mulches under the commodity brand called The Seasons and also under a premium line called The Ground Up. TGU also blends and co-packages products for IGC customers. Out compost is STA Certified under the US Composting Council's STA program. We also manage the engineered soil concept called THE [SOIL] FACTORY - this is an arm of The Ground Up which focuses on assembling engineered soils for the green industry.
