About us
dxw digital was founded in 2008 to help public sector teams to make good technology decisions and build better services that are flexible, efficient, effective and useful. We want the user experience to be straightforward, positive and seamless. We believe that by building those services using agile principles, we can help government embed those same principles in other parts of their organisation.
Since the adoption of agile as government policy, things have started to get better. User-focused services have launched with unprecedented user satisfaction and at a fraction of the cost of past projects. Principles of user-centred service design and agile methodologies have proven themselves effective.
Ultimately, we want to help the public sector to spend less on technology so it can spend more on education, healthcare, policing and welfare. By using technology and agile principles, we're helping government organisations become more efficient and recognisably better.
Our clients are wide-ranging and include the NHS, Thames Valley Housing Authority, Department of Health, Department for Education, and BEIS. We used our experience in working with Wordpress sites to develop GovPress, a cloud-based hosting platform for exclusive use by the public sector. It's a secure, robust and easily-scaled service used by organisations including the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Justice.
In 2018, we launched dxw cyber co-founded by Harry Metcalfe and Glyn Wintle. dxw cyber helps organisations move towards the culture and practices which deliver more secure services, and away from approaches that treat cyber assurance as a series of check-box exercises.
