In 1957, Hawaiian Bitumuls and Paving Company began operations on Guam. Then in 1958, the company formed Hawaiian Rock Products (HRP) and entered into an agreement with the Bamba Family to open a quarry in Fadian, Mangilao. Several years later, HRP was incorporated in the state of Nevada as Dillingham construction, Guam, Ltd., in 1984. In June 28, 1990, a Stock Purchase Agreement was made between Dillingham Construction, Guam Ltd. And MCC Development (Nevada) Ltd. and Mitsubishi Cement Corporation retained the name of the company as Hawaiian Rock Products Corporation.
