In 1957, Hawaiian Bitumuls and Paving Company began operations on Guam. Then in 1958, the company formed Hawaiian Rock Products (HRP) and entered into an agreement with the Bamba Family to open a quarry in Fadian, Mangilao. Several years later, HRP was incorporated in the state of Nevada as Dillingham construction, Guam, Ltd., in 1984. In June 28, 1990, a Stock Purchase Agreement was made between Dillingham Construction, Guam Ltd. And MCC Development (Nevada) Ltd. and Mitsubishi Cement Corporation retained the name of the company as Hawaiian Rock Products Corporation. Mitsubishi Cement Corporation is one of the largest manufacturer and marketer of cement and concrete.
