Rochester Community Schools provides a world-class education to 15,000 students residing in the Greater Rochester area.\n\nWith one early childhood center, 13 elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools, and one alternative high school, our mission is to provide a quality education in a caring atmosphere so all students can attain the necessary skills and knowledge to become lifelong learners and contribute to a diverse, interdependent and changing world. \n\nTo fulfill our mission and better position our students for the future, the community overwhelmingly voted to invest in our schools. The district has a 96 percent graduation rate and 95 percent of our graduates attend post-secondary schools. The mean SAT score of RCS students is 12 percent higher than the state average and 14 percent higher than the national average. \n\nRCS employs highly skilled, caring teachers and staff, and supports a strong parent network.
