High Grade Beverage (HGB) is a franchised wholesale beverage distributor of malt beverages, wine, spirits and soft drinks. HGB sells and services retailers in 7+ counties in the state of New Jersey. The "home office" is located in South Brunswick, NJ and delivers to Middlesex, Somerset, Union and Hunterdon Counties. The other distributorship services Morris, Sussex, Warren and sections of Passaic Counties and is located in Randolph, New Jersey. Each High Grade Beverage facility has "state of the art" equipment and warehousing. Computerized refrigerated warehouses, better known as controlled environmental warehouses (CEW), have been designed to maintain specific temperatures for the various months of the year in order to insure product quality, freshness and integrity. The Randolph operation is modeled in design and structure to the corporate headquarters in South Brunswick. Eye appeal and tidiness are the order of the day for all operations, but this does not belie the fact that both facilities are quite practical and efficient. High Grade represents various products of national brewers and importers. Anheuser-Busch, Heineken USA, and LaBatt USA beverages are all distributed by High Grade Beverage. HGB maintains a significant inventory for its soft drinks, iced teas, waters and sports drinks. Briar's USA, which is owned by the DeMarco family, has carved a niche in the birch sarsaparilla and several specialty flavors. These products are available in many packages and draft (barrels) to meet the needs of today's varied consumers. Packages range in size from 1/2, 1/4 and 1/6 kegs to beer balls to 7 oz., 8 oz., 12oz., 16oz., 22oz., 24oz., 32 oz., ... to 40oz. containers. The cases range from six packs, twelve packs, eighteen packs, twenty-four packs and thirty packs, just to enumerate the variety of packages available to our retailers. Distribution is limited to wholesale customers with liquor licenses in the assigned territories. These establishments may be recognized as: package stores, restaurants, taverns ,bars, pubs, and among other places of business. High Grade Beverage does not sell directly to the public. In 1981, 1982 and 1983 HGB was nationally recognized for outstanding performance as an Anheuser-Busch Wholesaler with a Silver - Dimensions of Excellence Award. The ensuing year, High Grade Beverage was presented the Golden "Ambassador" Award, the highest accolade Anheuser-Busch may bestow upon a wholesaler, for outstanding accomplishments in sales, management and warehousing.
